Lamps and Art of Stained Glass and Fine Woods Sonoma County Stained Glass and Exotic Woods by Skip Thomsen
18" high
A table lamp with layered-glass panels in a case of Hawaiian
curly koa trimmed with African Mahogany and African Wenge.

The color intensity and translucency changes depending on the ambient light in the
room, closely resembling hot, flowing pahoehoe lava in similar natural light.

The scene is different on each side, with both showing brilliant red flowing lava in a wide,
intense river. Each end or the lamp features a unique lava-flow abstract.

These works are designed and created by Skip Thomsen of Forestville, California
The design and execution of each of these pieces is unique and
will never be reproduced. All original designs and patterns for
the glass and the cases are destroyed after the piece is completed.
